Miley Cyrus Rocks Out at the Teen Choice Awards |

 Rocking out on the Gibson Amphitheatre stage, Miley Cyrus gave an energetic performance at the 2009 Teen Choice Awards on Sunday night (August 9). The “Hannah Montana” starlet was joined by her dancers as she belted out her newest release “Party in the USA” during the two-hour special. Miss Cyrus happened to make the trip back to the west coast after flying home for a weekend away from Tybee Island, Georgia.
Scheduled to head straight back to Georgia following the night’s taping to continue work on “The Last Song,” Miss Cyrus previously tweeted: “Good-bye Tybee Island. See ya on Monday! I will miss you.”

Miley Ray Cyrus is a 17 year old teen sensation, who was born on the 23rd November, 1992 in Nashville, Tennessee. Her birth name is Destiny Hope, but in 2008 she legally changed her name to Miley after her dad had given her the nickname "Smiley." Miley is best known for her role in the popular Disney Channel show, Hannah Montana. In the series, she plays a girl called Miley Stewart who lives a double life as a popstar. Miley is also a singer/songwriter with many songs as herself and Hannah Montana topping the charts. 
Famous young star Miley Cyrus’ accused would-be stalker, Mark McLeod, may be facing stiffer charges than originally thought as his case has been transfered to a court that handles felonies. Police said McLeod, who lives about three hours from Georgia’s Tybee Island, traveled there in June and August looking for 16-year-old Cyrus as she filmed a movie. He currently faces misdemeanor charges including attempted stalking.
Though fame has many perks, one of the downfalls is having crazed stalker fans. And thankfully Miley Cyrus’ stalker was apprehended in Georgia this week. Mark McLeod, a 53-year-old fan of the Disney darling, was arrested near Savannah, Georgia a few weeks after police asked him to keep his distance from the “Last Song” movie set.
